Documentation/Run/Articles and sharing

Articles and sharing

Write short articles with your real circuits and results, and share circuits, results or articles by link. This is your own space, not a feed: nobody follows or comments here. People read what you share through the link, an embed on another site, your public page, or (for Public articles) Community → Articles.

Share a circuit

  • In the IDE, press the share icon in the circuit toolbar (next to image export). The circuit is saved to your circuits as a version that never changes, and you get a link /c/…
  • Anyone with the link can zoom, click a gate to see its matrix and meaning, step through the circuit (up to 5 qubits) and, if you allow it, copy it into their own IDE with “copied from @you” in the name.
  • Results links (/r/…) show the exact circuit beside the stored counts. The badge always says Simulator, Fake backend (noisy) or Real hardware, so a simulation is never shown as hardware.

Write an article

  • Account menu → My articles → New article, then pick a template (Quick circuit share, Concept tutorial, Algorithm walkthrough, Experiment report, Hardware vs simulator, Research note, Achievement, Blank). Grey text is only a hint: replace it with your own words.
  • Add blocks with “+” between blocks or by typing / in an empty one: text, lists, callouts, tables, code, equations (LaTeX), your circuits, your runs with expected vs observed, Bloch spheres step by step, gate explanations, figures, galleries and YouTube.
  • Select text for bold, italic, code, highlight or a link (or ⌘/Ctrl + B, I, E, K). Markdown mode shows the same article as Markdown; circuit and result blocks stay in ```ql-…``` fences so nothing is lost.
  • Everything saves by itself; the bar shows Saving…, Saved or Offline. Style: Classic, Academic, Notebook, Slide, Dark Lab or Minimal, an accent colour, font size and banner.

PrivateOnly youNoNo
UnlistedAnyone with the linkNoNo
PublicAnyoneYesYes

Unlisted and Public need a title, alt text on every image, and a circuit or run picked in every circuit or results block. “New link” replaces the address: the old link stops working at once.

Share outward

  • The Share dialog: copy the link, a QR code, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn, X, email, or your phone's share sheet. Link previews show a card with the title and the real circuit or histogram.
  • Embed: copy an iframe (small, medium or large, light or dark) for your own site or school page. Turn embedding off and the iframe shows a short notice instead.
  • Download: the circuit as PNG (1×, 2×, 4×), SVG, PDF, an animated GIF (one column at a time, optional probability bar), OpenQASM 3 or QubitLab JSON (with a SHA-256 hash to check a re-import), results as CSV, an article as a PDF in its style (Unlisted and Public articles) or Markdown.

Reports and your profile

  • Anyone can press Report on a public article, circuit or result. An administrator may hide it: it then stays private and cannot be shared again until restored.
  • Your profile page and your articles have separate settings: a Public article stays readable by its link even when your profile is private (it is just not listed on the profile).

Sharing and articles need a free account (not a guest). Public pages never show your email, tokens or private details. Images: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF up to 2 MB; hidden photo data (such as location) is removed.
