What changed in QubitLab from the start (8 July 2025) until today, one release every few months.

v0.10.0latest
Phones, tablets and foldables; SEO and share images
Three layouts chosen by screen width (never by device): compact phones get tabs Circuit · Code · Run · Results, a quick-gates bar, bottom sheets for all gates and the log, and a sticky Compile / Submit bar; tablets and unfolded foldables get circuit | code with a Results / Log dock; desktop is unchanged.
Touch editing: tap a gate then tap the wire; two-qubit gates take the control tap then the target tap; long-press a gate to edit or delete it; pinch to zoom the circuit.
Layout setting Auto / Mobile / Desktop (menu and account menu); state survives rotation and fold / unfold; safe areas and the on-screen keyboard are respected; 44 px touch targets.
Playground: files drawer and an output sheet (30 / 60 / 100 %) on phones; resizable explorer and editor / output split on larger screens.
Simulate defaults to the Aer simulator at optimization level 3; the run bar holds the circuit name, Open, Save and Examples; word-wrap toggle in the editors.
SEO: page titles, descriptions and keywords for every page, share images (Open Graph / X) for every course, lesson and docs chapter, sitemap.xml, robots.txt, schema.org Course and LearningResource data, and llms.txt for AI search.
Home: About cards swipe on phones and a short note from the maker.
Fixed: returning to the IDE or Playground after visiting another page no longer shows "This page couldn't load"; updates keep older page files so open tabs keep working.
When the layout is forced (Desktop on a phone, Mobile on a laptop), a floating button switches back to Auto in one tap.
v0.9.0
Home refresh, feedback inbox, changelog
Home page: about-us and open-access sections, figures, demo, feedback call-to-action and a full footer.
Feedback dialog everywhere: bug, error, enhancement, question or other, with an optional screenshot; Dashboard → Feedback shows your reports and their status.
Administrators triage reports (status, reply) from the same page; ADMIN_EMAILS selects who.
Vision section: a drawn student standing beside our quote and vision statement.
Learn redesigned as a three-stage roadmap with course codes (QC 101 to QC 302) and new course cards; the Catalog became lesson cards grouped by level with search and chips.
Browse by topic: ten topics from Getting Started to Resource Estimation; topics and lessons still being written are marked Coming soon.
About, home and footer now say QubitLab is built by a solo AI engineer and quantum researcher in Cambodia (still anonymous).
Deployment plan for a first test copy on Google Cloud (one VM, Docker Compose, Caddy HTTPS).
Guests can explore and run everything except real hardware: IBM and IQM are locked until you register, and the API refuses tokens on the shared guest account.
Every visitor gets their own guest account (found again by a key in the browser; IP only limits new guests): guests take quizzes, keep XP and open the dashboard. Registering as a guest keeps all progress. Sign out asks first.
Registration can be closed per server (ALLOW_REGISTRATION=false): the register page explains and offers a guest account; administrators can still sign up.
First live test server at qubitlab.astratrade-ai.com: systemd + nginx behind Cloudflare, jobs queue instead of overloading the small VM.
Account menu is solid in light mode and its sign-up row is a clear button (or says registration opens soon).

v0.8.0
Run settings modal, Log column, lesson Run here
Run settings open as a glass modal with a Quick view (run cards + Compile/Submit) and a Detailed view (every option). The right column shows only the Log.
Selected tabs and switches use the accent colour app-wide.
Editor completions for OpenQASM 3 and Qiskit Python (Tab accepts, Enter never inserts a suggestion).
Lessons: Run here executes a snippet in place (sign-in only, nothing saved); Try-it also opens in the Playground.
v0.7.0
Learn portal, Playground workspace, IQM provider
Seven tracks and 32 bilingual lessons with quizzes, XP, streaks and a catalog; progress syncs to your account.
Playground became a file workspace: folders, tabs, split editor, terminal log, drag tabs between panes.
IQM Resonance as a second hardware provider (Garnet, Emerald, Deneb, Sirius) with free fake twins; Dashboard → Providers switches IBM / IQM.
Sign-in gating with return route, account menu with XP and provider status, learning dashboard.
v0.6.0
Control flow in the composer
The composer draws and edits if/else, while, for, switch/case, break and continue as frames; conditions, loops and switch work everywhere (compile, simulate, state view).
Multi-select, clipboard, keyboard shortcuts, grouping, angle slider; blocks move and copy like gates.
Python pane is generated from the circuit (OpenQASM 3 → Qiskit export).
v0.5.0
QubitLab name, Debug Mode, benchmarks, accounts
Renamed to QubitLab; anonymous About page with roadmap; IBM-style learning path and PennyLane-style QML chapters.
Debug Mode with breakpoints, VS Code-style controls, noisy fidelity and state charts; resizable workspace.
MQT Bench generator, live IBM calibration and topology heat maps, multi-backend hardware comparison.
Accounts: register with live checks, forgot/reset, profile, security, usernames, avatars, public profiles, device sessions, dashboard console, guest mode.
Dynamic circuits: boolean conditions rewritten for the importer, sampled reference for branching circuits.
Home page, global English/Khmer translation, docs site, first Playground and About page.
Debugger, error explainer, cut estimation, large examples, jobs export, Gate Lab with symbolic and numeric matrices.
Glass design system, Lucide icons, logo, animated IDE demo, Qiskit Python input via AST translation, activity log.
v0.3.0
Visualisation, IBM hardware, circuit cutting
Q-sphere with phase colouring, Bloch spheres with purity, step slider through the circuit.
Real IBM Quantum hardware with your own token, validated and encrypted at rest; runs guarded to 6 qubits, 4096 shots, depth 300.
Circuit cutting with qiskit-addon-cutting and reconstruction of expectation values; first polish pass.
v0.2.0
Foundation, composer, compile and simulate
FastAPI, Celery, Redis and PostgreSQL backend with a Next.js frontend; accounts and job queue.
Editor and composer in sync; compile and compare at optimization levels 0–3; simulation with TVD and Hellinger fidelity.
v0.1.0
Project start
QuantumLab begins: a free, Khmer-and-English web IDE so students in Cambodia and anywhere can learn real quantum computing.
Plan and phase documents written; OpenQASM 3 chosen as the single source of truth; safety rules fixed (user Python is never executed, tokens encrypted at rest).
